What We Offer

Custom Couture Bridal Gown Design

T

Included

Initial Consultation - a 1-hour session in person to discuss design ideas and view fabric swatches, share visuals and sketch out ideas together. The brides’ measurements will also be recorded at this time.

Design Development - Sally will bring together all of the chosen elements of the design from the initial consultation - fabrics, trims, appliques or embellishments and complete artistic rendered sketches for the bride’s approval.

Toil Making - Once the design process is finalised and approved with the bride the Toile making process will begin. This is a mock up of the gown made in an affordable fabric to test shape and form on the bride’s figure before the construction of the final gown begins.

First Fitting Appointment - At your first fitting appointment you will try on the Toile and any adjustments will be made whilst the gown is on the body. This might include taking a pinch out of a side seam or bust area which will be pinned in place and marked to transfer to patterns.

Gown Construction - Once the Toile has been achieved to the perfect fit, fabrics will be ordered and the gown construction will begin. This process can take a few weeks to complete.

Subsequent Fittings - The bride will be invited back and scheduled in for subsequent fittings of the final dress as necessary.

Finishing Touches & Alterations - The last finishing touches will be completed after the fittings which generally includes the hemming of dresses and veils.

Garment Steaming and Pick Up - When the dress is complete the bride will be invited back for one last try on of the dress and the dress will be available for her to collect in a custom garment bag and custom packaging. A complementary garment steaming will be provided before the brides arrival.

Custom Couture Corsets & Body Suits

Included

Custom Corsets are a great investment as they can be worn under almost any garment to give the wearer the most form flattering appearance for their individual figure. This can really help an individual to feel confident in garments they may have never felt they could confidently wear before and is something Sally highly recommends for her bridal clients, either built into the dress or as a separate piece that can be worn again.

Initial Consultation and Measure - Sally will meet one on one with you to discuss your specific body type and preferences. Your measurements will be noted and a design plan will be discussed for your custom corset which will go into depth about how the corset can provide shaping for your individual figure or how the corset can be drafted to accentuate your individual figure. For example, some clients may require more or less spacing between the breast, and some clients may be interested in adding some under breast padding to boost the bust area. All areas of the body are considered to achieve the most flattering form for the client under any garment.

Fabric Swatches - at the initial consultation Sally will colour match fabric swatches with the clients skin tone or help the client choose a custom colour and fabric for their corset to be constructed in. Fabrics are ordered once the design has been approved.

Pattern Make & Toile - A “Toile” or a mock up garment is made in a less expensive fabric first to check the shape and fit of the corset will be suitable for the client.

First Fitting Appointment - At this appointment the client will try on the Toile of their corset and Sally will make any necessary adjustments to achieve the perfect fit.

Corset Construction - The corset will then be constructed in the chosen fabrics and trims carefully allowing for subsequent alterations to the garment to still be achieved

Subsequent Fitting - The client will be invited back for subsequent fittings of the corset to make any final adjustments to fit.

Garment Finishing - All of the finishings will be applied to the garment at this stage to create the finished peice.

Garment Packaged & Pickup - Your corset will be presented to you in a custom gift box for you to take home and enjoy for many occasions!
