About Me
Hi, I am Sally and I have had a passion for beautiful gowns since the age of 5 where I was lucky enough to be a flower girl at my uncles wedding. From that day on that gorgeous ball gown style flower girl dress was the only item of clothing I ever wanted to wear from my wardrobe ever again and my love for all things elegant began there.
Throughout my teenage years I used to play in my room with my mums sewing machine, constructing ball gowns so I didn’t have to be just another girl wearing a Stax dress to her high school ball. All with zero knowledge of patternmaking or sewing. The result would always have people complementing how original my dresses were.
My education in fashion began at Aoraki Polytech, with renowned couturier Brian Molenuex of the brand “Molenuex”. There I learnt drapery and beading techniques that were more valuable that any certificate and lead me to doing my own custom made-to-measure work for clients over the years, one of the most rewarding experiences I have ever had.
In 2025 I decided to take my love of couture sewing and make it a full-time gig starting Sally Corry Atelier off by offering custom made couture wedding gown designs to clients.
It has been an absolute dream so far and I have been lucky enough to have had the absolute best clients ever who have let me run with my own creative direction on their gowns. It has been so rewarding seeing something we have worked so hard to plan together come to fruition and seeing her absolutely glow in her dream gown on her wedding day makes me so feel so happy.
From here I will be adding some more luxury wardrobe staples to the online store along with my daughters side project “SieSie Couture”. So Stay tuned to see more. x
